SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
The Holt Estate 1861, and the Holt Group before it, have a long history of supporting the Sutherland Shire community. For generations, the Holt family has partnered with local organisations to strengthen education, sport, safety, and community wellbeing.
Our support spans schools, Bate Bay Surf Life Saving Clubs, the Kurnell Stingrays, Southern Districts Rugby, and grassroots projects across Kurnell and the wider Shire. Whether enhancing school facilities, equipping lifesavers, or investing in junior sport, we focus on programs that foster growth, resilience, and opportunity.
As long-standing community members, the Holt family remains committed to giving back and building a strong, connected, and supportive future for generations to come.
Surf Life saving Clubs
The Holt Family has supported the Bate Bay surf clubs for more than 20 years by donating Inflatable Rescue Boats (IRBs) to help keep Sutherland Shire swimmers safe. These contributions strengthen the capability of volunteer lifesavers by providing reliable, up-to-date equipment essential for quick and effective rescue operations.
IRBs play a vital role in patrols, helping crews navigate challenging surf conditions, reach distressed swimmers, and protect thousands of beachgoers each season. By investing in the safety of our coastal community, The Holt Family ensures local surf clubs have the tools they need to deliver lifesaving services and uphold the strong surf lifesaving traditions of the Sutherland Shire.
KURNELL PUBLIC SCHOOL WELLBEING
The Holt Estate supports Kurnell Public School’s Student Wellbeing Program, funding a dedicated Wellbeing Support Officer two days a week. This role provides programs and one-on-one assistance to students, parents, and staff, fostering a caring and supportive school environment where every child feels valued.
Our support enables resilience workshops, emotional support, and social skills programs, helping students feel confident, connected, and ready to learn. By investing in the wellbeing of local children, The Holt Estate contributes to a stronger, more resilient community and ensures students have the guidance they need to thrive in and beyond the classroom.
Sutherland Shire public schools
For more than a decade, The Holt Estate has invested over $500,000 in local primary and secondary school libraries, helping create well-resourced, inviting learning environments that inspire a love of reading. Our support from new books and digital tools to upgraded library spaces, enhances students’ daily learning experiences and enables schools to develop modern, flexible areas for collaboration and skill-building.
By backing these initiatives, The Holt Estate helps teachers deliver enriching educational experiences and ensures young people have the resources they need to thrive. We remain committed to supporting programs that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
