SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
The Holt Estate 1861 and the Holt Group before it have a long history of supporting the Sutherland Shire community. We help local primary and secondary schools, Bate Bay Surf Life Saving Clubs, Kurnell Stingrays, Southern Districts Rugby, and other small local projects in Kurnell. The Holt family stays committed to giving back to the community we are part of.
Surf Life saving Clubs
The Holt Family has supported the Bate Bay surf clubs for more than 20 years by donating Inflatable Rescue Boats (IRBs) to help keep Sutherland Shire swimmers safe. These donations assist local surf lifesavers in carrying out vital rescue operations and maintaining beach safety for the community.
Sutherland Shire public schools
For more than a decade, the Holt Estate has proudly invested in local education, donating over $500,000 to enhance primary and secondary school libraries. These contributions have helped schools create inviting, well-resourced learning environments that inspire a love of reading. From new books and digital learning tools to upgraded library spaces, our support continues to make a difference in the daily learning experiences of students across the region

KURNELL PUBLIC SCHOOL WELLBEING
The Holt Estate is proud to support the Kurnell Public School’s Student Wellbeing Program, an initiative we’ve backed for several years. Our contributions help fund a dedicated Student Wellbeing Support Officer who works two days a week, providing valuable programs and one-on-one assistance to students, parents, and staff. Through this partnership, we aim to foster a caring and supportive school environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their potential.
SOUTHERN DISTRICTS RUGBY CLUB
We are proud to sponsor the Southern Districts Rugby Club, a valued part of our local community. Our support helps provide opportunities for local players and assist with equipment and uniforms.
KURNELL STINGRAYS RUGBY
The Holt Estate also proudly supports both the Kurnell Stingrays Rugby Club, helping young players develop confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.
The Holt Estate have worked with many other community projects over the years, including the Rainbow Club who provide swimming programs to Aussie kids who have disabilities that might otherwise prevent them from taking part, as well as the University of Wollongong where the Holt Estate provided two scholarships a year to students studying environmental science or related degrees at UOW. One for an undergraduate and another for an honours student. The Scholarships had a particular focus on targeting areas of disadvantage, indigenous students and students who originate from the Sutherland Shire.
